Insecticidal and Antimicrobial Activity of Fruit of Elaegnus conferta Roxb. and Mimusops elengi L.

The current study was carried out in order to evaluate the insecticidal and antimicrobial activity of Elaeagnus conferta Roxb fruit extract. Mimusops elengi L. and (Elaeagnaceae) (the Sapotaceae). Insecticidal activity was evaluated against larvae II and III of the species Anopheles. Agar well diffusion and poisoned food technique were used to assess the antibacterial and antifungal function of fruit extracts, respectively. Both fruit extracts were effective against larvae of the species Anopheles, showing marked larvicidal activity by the extract of E. Conferta, Conferta. Both fruit extracts displayed antibacterial activity, but the E extract showed marked activity. Conferta, Conferta. Curvularia sp., in the case of antifungal activity. Rhizopus sp. and They were particularly susceptible to M. fruit extract. E. and Elengi. Conferta, meanwhile. Fruits may be used in the right form to avoid mosquito-borne diseases and to treat infectious diseases.
